Diversity of Honey Varieties: Geographical and Climatic Influence on Physico-Chemical Properties and Therapeutic Activity

This research project focuses on the systematic harvesting of various types of honey, which is conducted strategically based on blooming periods and beekeeping activities. Following the harvesting process, each honey sample is meticulously categorized with essential details such as producer information, geographical location, and climatic conditions. By collecting this data, the study aims to provide insights into the diverse range of honey varieties influenced by specific geographic regions and yearly climatic variations. Through a comprehensive analysis involving physico-chemical assessments, sensory evaluations, microscopic examinations, and therapeutic efficacy studies conducted "in vivo," the project aims to develop a detailed profile for each batch of honey. This approach will contribute to a deeper understanding of the distinct characteristics and potential health benefits associated with different types of honey.
