Local Seed Saving for Organic Farming in Croatia

Promoting local seed saving and organic seed production for biodiversity and sustainable farming in Croatia

or

Detail description

This project promotes local seed saving and exchange among organic farmers in Croatia to enhance biodiversity and support sustainable organic farming. It focuses on identifying and registering traditional, locally adapted seed varieties suited for organic production. By building a network for seed registration and sharing, the initiative strengthens regional seed systems and reduces reliance on imported seeds. The project emphasizes research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among producers to improve seed quality and resilience. Funded by the European Union and accessible via EU-FarmBook, it supports ecological production through locally adapted, organic seed development.
