Aquaponics Model for Sustainable Farming and Phytolimurgical Product Revaluation

Sustainable aquaponics model for small and medium-sized farms enhancing phytolimurgical product value

or

Detail description

The SmartAP Project enhances economic performance of small and medium farms through a sustainable, replicable aquaponics model. It optimized plant-fish balance, equipped two farms with greenhouses, fish tanks, and grow beds, and ensured energy sustainability via ThermCompost heating and solar power. A real-time monitoring system with sensors, cloud data, and a smartphone app tracks key parameters. The project successfully transformed phytolimurgical plant species into marketable essences and disseminated knowledge through workshops and training for farm entrepreneurs. Funded by the European Union and accessible via EU-FarmBook.
