Description: In Phase 2 (2017/18), CREA GB Fiorenzuola d'Arda analyzed ancient wheat varieties and populations from Phase 1, assessing morphological, physiological, and agronomic traits, and conducting genetic footprint analysis. Focused on varieties identified by the Valmareccia Foundation as historically common in the region and traditional accessions from the Centre’s germplasm collection, the study confirmed or rejected varietal identities. Funded by the European Union and made available via EU-FarmBook.
