FINAL OUTCOMES Phase 3 - Agronomic evaluation 2018/19–2019/20

In Phase 3 (2018/19–2019/20), the CRPV collaborated with Coop. Soc. La Fraternità to evaluate old wheat varieties from Valmareccia at Az. Agr. Marzocchi in Novafeltria (RN). Field trials assessed morpho-physiological, productive, and qualitative traits. While yields remained stable, Wheat of the Miracle reached 3 t/ha. Terminillo showed high hectolitre weight; Saragolla, Grano del Mircolo, Ardito, and Frassineto had elevated protein content. Flours were suitable for sourdough bread, breadsticks, pies, and piadina romagnola. Mycotoxin levels were low, confirming grain safety. Funded by the European Union and accessible via EU-FarmBook.
