Innovative Vineyard Fertilization Strategies for Sustainable Nutrient Management
or
Detail description
This project focuses on implementing innovative fertilization strategies in vineyards to minimize nutrient leaching. The methods include measuring plant vigor to tailor fertilizer application, substituting mineral fertilizers with organic and leaf stimulants, incorporating green manure for enhanced vineyard fertilization and biodiversity, using water stress-resistant rootstocks, and introducing mycorrhizae for improved rootstock vigor and stress resistance. These practices aim to reduce water pollution risks, particularly from nitrates, and decrease water requirements. The project includes analyses to assess the effectiveness of these strategies. Additionally, the vineyard serves as an educational resource for showcasing best practices to the scientific community, technicians, and vine growers through visits.
