AGROSUS Soil and Weed Sampling Kit

Weed sampling and analysis procedures for agricultural plots using the AGROSUS Soil and Weed Sampling Kit

or

Detail description

Weed sampling in agricultural plots requires a 1×1 metre sampling area defined by a hoop or marked square. Collect weeds within the area, preserving root integrity, and measure fresh weight of total, monocotyledonous, and dicotyledonous species separately. For dominant species, measure aerial and root lengths of 5–10 plants. Dry samples completely, then record dry weight. Sample at least monthly, before any weed control. Estimate total, monocot, and dicot weed coverage visually. Identify dominant species, including family and species. The AGROSUS Soil and Weed Sampling Kit provides tools and guidance for accurate sampling. Video tutorials available. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme (grant agreement No 101084084).
