The Mountain Carbon Working Group enhances organic carbon and soil organic matter in mountainous areas of the Reggiano Apennines. Actions include a feasibility study on the organic carbon chain, experimental production and chemical characterisation of high-potential manure, development of dried manure for agricultural use, soil carbon and organic matter data collection with agronomic trials, and carbon footprint and production cost assessments for milk. Funded by the European Union and available via EU-FarmBook.
