Automated Phytosanitary Systems in Heroic Vineyards
Automated phytosanitary treatments and environmental performance in heroic vineyards
or
Detail description
The ITACA project developed automated fixed systems for phytosanitary treatments in heroic vineyards, ensuring comparable yields and performance to traditional methods. The systems enable precise, operator-free application with anti-drift nozzles, reducing environmental impact. Electrolysed water showed efficacy on par with standard formulations and outperformed reduced-dose applications. Partner farms received the 'sustainable vineyard' label for environmental stewardship. The LA.VI.P.E. platform was enhanced for vineyard record-keeping. Epidemiological monitoring in Treviso’s wine-growing regions found no significant risks from treatments. Funded by the EU under EIP-AGRI.
