Improving Production Technology of 'Bonita' Apple in Slovenia

This project improves production technology for the 'Bonita' apple variety, a new resistant club-type apple in Slovenia. Practical experiments assess pruning, fertilising, fruit thinning, and protection methods across two statistical regions. Eight new orchards, four by partners and four by non-project growers, were established this year in three regions to evaluate technology effectiveness. The initiative supports Slovenian fruit growing and includes a conceptual marketing design for uniform branding of 'Bonita' apples and products to boost consumer recognition.
