Enhancing Cranberry Cultivation with Biostimulators and Closed-Loop Water Treatment
Enhancing cranberry cultivation in Poland with biostimulants and closed-loop water treatment
or
Detail description
This project develops a closed-loop irrigation system with biological protection agents for large-fruit cranberry cultivation in Poland. It focuses on using natural biostimulators—anthocyanins, polyphenols, and flavones—to enhance fruit colour, uniformity, and stress resistance. These compounds are linked to plant defence mechanisms and antioxidant production. The system replaces costly UV or ozone-based water treatment with cost-effective, scalable biological solutions. Funded by the European Union via EU-FarmBook, the project improves sustainability and market readiness of cranberry production.
