Detail description

Taimi Oinas-Panuma leads Poro-Panuma Reindeer Farm in Pudasjärvi, a seventh-generation family business offering tourism experiences rooted in reindeer herding culture. Since 2002, visitors enjoy sleigh rides, feeding sessions, home-cooked meals, and storytelling. The farm combines heritage preservation with sustainable tourism, supported by Taimi’s entrepreneurial training and community engagement. Her leadership has inspired other herders to open their farms to tourists, strengthening local cultural identity and economic resilience.
