Intégration de l'agrivoltaïsme et de l'agroforesterie pour des paysages méditerranéens résilients

Enhancing land productivity and sustainability through integrated agrovoltaic and agroforestry systems in Mediterranean regions

or

Detail description

Integrating agrovoltaics and agroforestry in Mediterranean regions enables dual production of renewable energy and food, enhancing land productivity, reducing water stress, improving microclimates, and increasing biodiversity. These systems can boost photovoltaic capacity by 2.5%, meet 1.8% of regional electricity demand, and reduce CO₂ emissions by 20–30 tonnes per hectare. Scaling to 1.5 million hectares could cut emissions by 3–4.5 million tonnes annually, equivalent to removing 6.5–9.8 million vehicles. Policy support, regulatory reform, and public-private partnerships are essential for success.
