Stela Zămoiu, a Romanian peasant and activist with Eco Ruralis since 2014, champions seed saving, food sovereignty, and the rights of small farmers. She promotes sustainable, gift-based seed exchange and agroecological practices, challenging industrial agriculture and advocating for peasants as key agents of environmental and social resilience. Her work strengthens rural communities and supports biodiversity through community-led initiatives and national and international advocacy.
