Optimizing Agrotechnical Practices for Second-Crop Sweetcorn Yield and Safety

Optimizing tillage, irrigation, and growth monitoring for second-crop sweetcorn yield and safety

or

Detail description

This study examines how basic cultivation methods affect the yield and quality of second-crop sweetcorn. It optimizes tillage timing and methods, irrigation scheduling (up to five applications of 40 mm each), and growth monitoring to enhance crop safety and productivity. Findings support agricultural companies in selecting effective agrotechnical practices for second-crop sweetcorn, with data informed by regional and vintage-specific adjustments. Funded by the European Union and accessible via EU-FarmBook.
