Joining Forces for Better Dissemination in Livestock R&I

Collaborative dissemination through project clusters enhances stakeholder engagement, particularly among policy-makers and livestock sector representatives. The GenTORE-led initiative (2018–2019) united six Horizon 2020 projects—IMAGE, SAPPHIR, Feed-a-Gene, SMARTCOW, Fitter Livestock Farming—to co-develop policy briefs, flyers, banners, and host joint events. A key workshop with the Animal Task Force on 6 November 2019 in Brussels reached 23% more policy-makers and 38% more interest group representatives. Strategies include forming clusters of complementary projects, creating shared identities, co-organising events, and leveraging diverse communication materials to amplify impact and reduce costs. Results from completed projects were successfully disseminated by ongoing ones.
