The beef sector contributes over 3.3 billion euros to Spain's economy, representing 17.5% of final agricultural output. On 5 November 2018, the Supra-Autonomous Operational Group GESVAC 4.0 was launched in Madrid to improve profitability in beef cattle farming. The event, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, highlighted the strategic role of Operational Groups within the European Innovation Partnership for Agriculture (EIP-AGRI). The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to developing basic regulations for sector organisation and promoting Producers' Organisations.
