Slovak Bioeconomy Strategy and Action Plan

This concept paper presents Slovakia's strategic approach to developing a national bioeconomy strategy and action plan, focusing on sustainable biomass valorisation. It highlights opportunities in innovation, circular economy solutions, rural development, and stakeholder collaboration. Key priorities include enhancing primary producers’ value chain positions, reducing reliance on imported resources, advancing research and innovation, and supporting local economic growth. The initiative aligns with the Smart Specialisation Strategy SK 2021–2027 and the BIOEASTUP Horizon 2020 project, fostering regional cooperation across eleven countries.
