PIG HEALTH – Reducing Antibiotic Use in Pig Production

Improving pig health through collaborative learning and on-farm implementation in Lower Saxony

or

Detail description

The EIP Agri OG PIG HEALTH Learn-Netzwerk project enhances pig health through collaborative learning and on-farm implementation. Led by Dr. Hubert Gerhardy, it uses a four-phase workshop model: impulses, experience exchange, discussion, and planning. Farmers, advisors, veterinarians, and scientists form a learning network to implement and evaluate targeted measures. Regular AG meetings organise working groups, ensure execution, and document results. The project focuses on iterative improvement, practical application, and institutional support, with funding from EIP Netzwerk AgrarInnovation Niedersachsen and PFEIL (2014–2020).
