Improved methodologies and protocols for fast tissue screening by peptidomics
The purpose of this task is to: ‘directly identify peptides in insect haemolymph, the central nervous system (CNS) or other tissues. This provides valuable corroboration that deduced neuropeptides are expressed, will provide information on posttranslationally modified peptides, and may occasionally identify peptides not readily identifiable in the genome (for example, where the sequence is interrupted by an intron).’
