or

Detail description

DIVERSIFOOD is a European H2020 project advancing crop diversity and local high-quality food systems through transdisciplinary, multi-actor approaches. It focuses on developing locally adapted innovations, sustainable biodiversity management, and participatory plant breeding. The project promotes resilient food systems by integrating agro-ecological practices, community seed networks, and stakeholder co-creation across the food chain—from field to fork. Emphasizing food quality, sustainability, and food democracy, DIVERSIFOOD fosters ethical, nutritious, and culturally rooted food systems. It supports collaborative research, policy advocacy, and the revival of underused crops, aiming for systemic change through co-evolutionary processes and transdisciplinary collaboration. The project unites 21 partners across Europe, advancing innovation, resilience, and equity in food systems.
