The SheepNet project improved flock efficiency across six countries and Turkey, promoting regenerative grazing and IGP-certified products. Despite population decline, solutions like rotational grazing and on-farm processing can increase self-sufficiency to 92%. Challenges include emissions concerns, urban-rural divides, and low productivity, requiring financial support and stakeholder networks.
