Detail description
Mechanical weed control system for row crops using camera-based image processing and real-time control. Developed at the University of Bonn's Institute of Agricultural Engineering, it enables intra-row hoeing at speeds up to 7.2 km/h using industrial servo motors and EtherCAT bus. Part of the EU Horizon 2020-funded Smart Farming Thematic Network, the system uses off-the-shelf components for precision agriculture applications.
