OG_Best practices in animal breeding
The main objective of the Operational Group was to increase farmers' competitiveness by increasing cheese production yields and developing value-added mature cheeses. The purpose of this guide is to briefly outline some of the theoretical principles underlying the improvement of the genetic structure of animal populations as well as to familiarize the reader with the main objectives of breeding in some farm animals.
