Trapping Insect Pests in Corn Production
Integrated pest management strategies for cornfield insect monitoring using pheromone traps in Europe
or
Detail description
Monitoring insect pests in corn production using pheromone-based traps like CapTrap Crape supports integrated pest management (IPM) across Europe. The project, funded by Horizon 2020 (grant No. 862563), enables real-time tracking of key pests such as the European corn borer and corn earworm, enhancing timely, targeted interventions. Designed for sustainable agriculture, the system promotes data-driven pest control and cross-regional knowledge sharing through the SmartProtect IPM Thematic Network.
