Aerial drones for biological pest control in vegetable crops
Aerial delivery of beneficial organisms for precision pest control in vegetable crops
or
Detail description
Multi-rotor drones enable precision biological pest control in vegetable crops, reducing establishment time for beneficial organisms. The Natutec Drone, developed under EU Horizon 2020 (grant No. 862563), disperses predatory mites and nematodes over 8 hectares in one hour, supporting IPM in tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, alliums, and cabbages. Designed for challenging terrains, it offers low-cost, scalable, and precise delivery, enhancing ecosystem integration. Part of the SmartProtect network, the project concludes in 2022 with findings available in English and French (CC-BY). Contact: europorjects@areflh.org.
