These convert sunlight directly into electricity via inverters for use in poultry houses. PV arrays can be roof- or ground-mounted, with optimal performance depending on orientation and tilt. Installation reduces fossil fuel dependence, lowers carbon emissions, and enhances energy resilience. A site assessment evaluates roof conditions, size, and grid capacity, which may limit system size. Farmers can access funding covering up to 60% of costs, capped at €90,000.
