Dairy farmers form Faircoop, a farmer-owned cooperative ensuring fair prices through the Fairbel brand. The initiative, part of the European Milk Board and supported by the COCOREADO Horizon 2020 project (2021–2024), promotes fair trade principles across milk, yogurt, and expanded product lines. Farmers receive a €0.10 per litre premium, while consumers can invest in the cooperative. The Fairbel brand, featuring a cow logo and slogan 'Le meilleur est dans le juste', is sold in retail outlets, with transparency in supply chain pricing and farmer empowerment at its core.
