Farmers' Market Varna Supports Local Producers

Supports small local producers and food businesses in Varna by enabling direct market access to consumers who value sustainable, organic, and traceable food. Around 40 regional farmers and producers set their own prices, enhancing income and negotiating power. The market fosters long-term consumer relationships, promotes biodynamic and clean agriculture, and serves as a hub for workshops on sustainable food production and consumption. Part of the EU-funded COREADO project (2021–2024), it applies a multi-actor approach through AKIS, emphasizing youth engagement and good practices. The initiative strengthens peri-urban and rural-urban connections, ensuring transparency and visibility in food systems.
