Vineyard Pre-Pruning Biomass Collection Prototype
Collects and processes vineyard pre-pruning biomass for on-site valorisation, reducing field burning and improving sustainability
or
Detail description
The Serrat Triturador prototype enables integrated biomass collection, size reduction, and storage of vineyard pre-pruning residues in a single operation. Field trials show 75% biomass recovery, with operating speed at 1.15 ha/h, moisture content at 45%, and bulk density of 205 kg/m³. The equipment costs €20,000–30,000, with service pricing at €36/t (including depreciation). Excluding vineyard machinery costs, pricing could drop to €11/t. This solution replaces field burning or chipping, enhancing sustainability and profitability in vineyards.
