The CPO model supports integrated pest management in barley by predicting powdery mildew risk and recommending fungicide treatments between early tillering (GS 26) and full flowering (GS 65). It guides timing based on disease incidence and cultivar susceptibility, helping prevent yield losses. Developed by Aarhus University and SEGES, the model is used in Denmark and applicable to Northern Europe after local validation.
