Cabbage Root Fly Flight Model for Scandinavia

Cabbage root fly monitoring and management using degree-day models and field observations

or

Detail description

The cabbage root fly larvae damage brassica roots, especially on newly transplanted or emerging crops. Adults lay eggs near plant stems; larvae feed on roots. The DSS on platform.ipmdecisions.net supports control decisions. Egg-laying begins at 160 degree-days (soil 10 cm depth or air 2 m above ground), with significant activity at 210 degree-days. Use the model with field observations to assess attack severity. Specific to cabbage fly, not turnip fly.
