Assesses environmental impact and performance of broiler chicken farms with automated, science-based evaluation

or

Detail description

The CAP’2ER® tool is a free, two-level environmental assessment system for broiler chicken farms, developed by ITAVI with IDELE and SENSES. It enables farmers and advisors to evaluate environmental performance and identify improvement levers. Level 1 is a one-hour online self-diagnosis assessing 30 zootechnical indicators, calculating greenhouse gas emissions, fossil fuel use, air and water pollution, and positive contributions like biodiversity and carbon storage. It also includes indicators for working conditions and economic performance. The tool supports carbon neutrality and environmental footprint reduction, aligning with the BroilerNet project’s focus on sustainability. Recognised by the French Broiler Innovation Network, it is available at BroilerNet.eu.
