Cereal populations - EIP project video
Biodynamische Getreidezüchtung für Klimaresilienz und Ertragsstabilität in der Wetterau
Detail description
Cereal populations bred at Dottenfelder Hof in Hesse show yield and performance comparable to standard varieties, with enhanced resilience to diseases, drought, and extreme weather. Part of the EIP project, these diverse populations adapt to local conditions over time, supporting long-term agricultural stability. The Brandex population, approved by the Federal Office for Plant Varieties, contains around 300 genotypes with varied traits, serving as a living gene bank for sustainable breeding.
