Trees4Streets project develops climate-resilient urban tree clones using in vitro propagation to enhance tolerance to heat, drought, frost, and salt stress. Focus on linden hybrids and plane trees shows 1.5m annual growth in trials. Clones are tested for resilience under real urban conditions, aiming for faster, cheaper, and more reliable urban reforestation.
