Het verbeteren van de kwaliteit van kruiden- en faunarijk grasland (N12.02) is maatwerk. Sommige percelen hebben een gunstige uitgangssituatie. Voor beheerders is het nuttig deze situatie te herkennen, zodat middelen gericht worden ingezet op percelen met een grotere natuurkwaliteit. In gebieden helpt dit bij prioritering en differentiatie in beheer en het verbeteren van de biodiversiteit. Deze handreiking gaat over het inschatten van de natuurpotentie van percelen en het differentiatie van het beheer van kruiden- en faunarijke graslanden op gebiedsniveau.

The BIOEAST Initiative was founded by the Ministers of Agriculture of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovenia. The BIOEAST Initiative represents the common political commitment and shared strategic research and innovation framework for working towards sustainable and circular bioeconomies in the CEE countries.
This case study is drafting new legislation that allows renting forestland for multiple purposes in order to increase economic efficiency and maintain a balance between all ecosystem services. This Russian case works on regulation mechanisms so that people renting forestland can use it for multiple purposes, and to include ecosystem services in the Forest Code.
