Juvenile European Seabass Feeds with Salicornia ramosissima Biomass
Salicornia ramosissima biomass supports sustainable aquafeed with up to 10% inclusion in juvenile European seabass diets
или
Подробно описание
Juvenile European seabass fed diets containing up to 10% Salicornia ramosissima biomass showed no negative effects on growth, survival, or feed digestibility over 62 days. The study demonstrates that this halophyte co-product, low in protein but rich in carbohydrates, can replace wheat meal in aquafeeds, enhancing antioxidant status and DNA integrity. S. ramosissima biomass supports sustainable aquaculture by valorising plant residues and enabling circular bioeconomy models in Mediterranean aquaculture.
