Detalizēts apraksts
Silvopastoral management in Aleppo pine forests of the Baix Llobregat mountains, Spain, reduces wildfire risk, enhances drought resilience, and improves economic viability through selective thinning, controlled grazing, and ecosystem service preservation. The LIFE AgroForAdapt project (LIFE20 CCAE/ES/001682) evaluates this approach across a 58-hectare pilot site, integrating fire ecology, economic feasibility, and landowner cooperation. A new tool, PriSiPaS, will map suitable areas for silvopastoralism at 1–25,000 scale.
