This review focuses on lipid nutrition, detailing the roles of ω3 fatty acids and vitamin A in preserving cognitive function in older individuals. It analyzes preclinical findings from animal models alongside clinical data in humans, exploring the mechanisms through which these nutrients act in the brain. The work highlights their neuroprotective activities and proposes nutritional strategies to delay or reduce cognitive decline in aging populations.
