Reasoned deworming: principles and best practices

Today, it is no longer necessary to treat all adult horses every 2, 3, or 4 months, as this encourages parasite resistance to dewormers. The number of available deworming agents is limited, and most parasites have developed resistance. Here are the 10 principles of reasoned deworming, along with a summary of best practices.
