Slaughter techniques for cattle and small ruminants - EIP project video
The aim of the EIP project "Extrawurst" is to develop guidelines for low-stress slaughtering. In order to avoid live animal transportation, the cattle are killed directly on the farm before they are driven to the slaughterhouse. An important concern is to spare the animal fear, stress and suffering and thus do more justice to animal welfare.
