Seed Potato Production – CIV Arable Farming: Groen Kennisnet wiki

The Netherlands holds a leading position worldwide in the cultivation and trade of seed potatoes. Dutch seed potato exports go to more than 70 countries worldwide. To maintain this position, there is a need for expert staff, and future growers must be well trained. That is why CIV Akkerbouw, in collaboration with leading researchers and companies in this sector, has developed the ‘Seed Potatoes’ elective module. This module covers twelve relevant topics relating to seed potato cultivation. Themed days have been organised for each topic. Experts from industry and applied research delivered lessons on these days, which were filmed. These videos are accompanied by questions and assignments and are made available via this e-learning module. The videos can be used either together or individually in the classroom.
