SROI Analysis of Women's Empowerment in Romanian Farming Communities

The FARMWELL project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme (grant 774442), enhanced farmers' wellbeing through social innovation in Romania, focusing on empowering women via the Saschiz Women’s Association. It delivered HND/HNC qualifications, an online community platform, and trust-building initiatives, benefiting 30 members, 75 community women, and 125 family members. Outcomes included €25,000 in personal development, €17,000 in health improvements, €12,000 in economic empowerment, and €10,000 in community impact. Total benefits reached £661,025 from an investment of £244,652, yielding a 2.70:1 return. The project ran from 2017 to 2022.
