A case study on the Zala Valley Open Farm Network, a Horizon 2020-funded initiative under FARMWELL, measuring social impact through SROI. The project enhanced farmers’ wellbeing and rural resilience across 21 farms in Hungary, boosting financial stability by 60%, conserving 88% of cultural heritage, and generating £17,000 in tourism value. It delivered €1.6 million in total benefits from €381,000 investment, with key outcomes in skills development, sustainable practices, and policy change.
