Visions of sustainable prosperous farming communities

This document describes the activities and the results obtained in the development of visions for prosperous farming communities in FATIMA pilot areas. Visioning exercises were undertaken in the scope of Activity 4: Blueprint for sustainable prosperous farming communities, which is part of WP 1.2 of FATIMA. The goal of this activity was to work with stakeholders in each pilot area to develop a blueprint for sustainable farming communities that integrates environmental stewardship, economic prosperity and social well-­‐being under the umbrella concept of sustainable agriculture. Based on the inputs received from pilots, a common vision statement was developed, integrating the main common elements that translate the aspirations of participants regarding the future of agriculture in their region.
