Antibiotic-free labelled poultry: How much more are the Italian consumers willing to pay for poultry meat produced t: How much mwithout the use of antibiotics?
Italian consumers are willing to pay 14.6% more for antibiotic-free poultry with better animal welfare. This was determined using a hedonic price model, analyzing 173 product samples from supermarkets in Forlì, Bologna, and Cesena. The study’s validity was confirmed with experts from Amadori and Guidi.
