Early life dietary interventions in calves to improve performance
This practice abstract explores how early-life feed additives, such as essential oils and probiotics, affect rumen development in calves. Administered from the third week to weaning, these additives improved rumen function, with benefits lasting post-treatment, despite no weight gain changes.
