Medium-Intensity PG in Marginal Climate, Mostly Cut (MM_C)
This type is managed at medium intensity, and herbage is mostly harvested by cutting rather than grazing. It is found in regions where grass growth is limited either by long winters or by extended summer drought, and is most frequent in the Pannonian and eastern Continental biogeographic regions, the Baltic states and the Iberian and Balkan peninsulas. Under the climatic restrictions in these regions, higher than medium management intensities are usually not possible.

NANOCELLULOSE MEMBRANES FOR NUTRIENT RECOVERY
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under Grant Agreement No 858735This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under Grant Agreement No 858735. FACTSHEET NANOCELLULOSE MEMBRANES FOR NUTRIENT RECOVERY Key information Functionalized nanocellulose membranes can take up nitrate and phosphate. These membranes can be put in a water treatment unit. As the membranes are biobased, degradable materials, they can after use be added to the soil, thus returning the leached nutrients back for their original purpose providing fertilizers (nutrient recycling).
