Auximore: Optimizing Biological Control of Crop Pests in Arable Farming Systems

The Auximore project developed practical tools and resources to enhance biological control of pests by leveraging naturally occurring auxiliary fauna in large-scale arable farming. It involved a national partnership among farmers, researchers, and advisors to co-create monitoring, identification, and knowledge-transfer tools for agroecological pest management.

Подробно описание

The Auximore project addressed the need to improve agricultural competitiveness while reducing insecticide and molluscicide use in large-scale arable crops by promoting natural beneficial insects (auxiliary fauna) within fields and surrounding habitats. Over a three-year collaboration, voluntary farmers, researchers, development actors and educators co-developed a diverse set of user-friendly tools—such as identification guides, monitoring protocols, responsive web resources, videos, and training kits—to support farmers and advisors in monitoring pests and their natural enemies. By consolidating over 300 bibliographic references and harnessing expert input, Auximore fosters agroecological practices, emphasizes networked knowledge transfer, and provides online access to all resources via http://unebetedansmonchamp.fr/.
